I apparently decided to make a funnel review, which really looks more like an upside blue and purple Hershey's kiss.

Thus, you are officially looking at what goes in – the title of the book – and what comes out as a result – the rounded rating.

Blast to the Past
It's been awhile since I've actually read the series or any of Dashner's works ever since I got introduced to them in 6th grade (author visited our school), so it was really nice that the final book – why is there a 5th book on Goodreads? – went back to a bit of what happened in the prior books.

Good Old Four, Which May Include Rotten Food
I really don't mean the character from Divergent. I mean there are 4 parts (and 4 books to the series, but that's beside the point) to the book.

Part 1 – After the events in the previous book, everyone, albeit different persons for a different person, is trying to get Tick, Mistress Jane and Reginald Chu out from a place called the Nonex. Meanwhile, those 3 are trying to figure exactly what happened, how they got there, and how to get out.

Part 2 – Part 2 focuses more on what the threat is about as time begins to tick down to the ultimate destruction of the realities.

Part 3 – The story begins to snowball in a fast pace, and talks of more destruction caused by the thing in Part 2, which I refuse to say.

Part 4 – Ha! Hoping for a spoiler, eh? Sorry folks, I won't go into Part 4 since it literally gives away a lot of things, and we can't have that can we? :D

To Recommend, or Not to Recommend. That Is the Question.
I don't usually go about running around literally saying "Oh, I recommend this book!" – I usually imply it, or so I think I am for the good books. I'll admit I've pretty much abandoned The Maze Runner series, but I do enjoy The 13th Reality series more than the before mentioned. So would I recommend it? Probably. Certainly for Fantasy and Science Fiction fans, along with Adventure.

Let's Speak Character (or maybe just favorites)
Paul is by far one of my favorite characters from the series – he's funny, makes light of every situation, and basically the polar opposite of Sofia, who is NOT me and all too serious. Rutger was also my favorite, but maybe it's because he looks like a bowling ball. :D

OMG IT'S THE END. THE END OF THE BOOK. AND THE REVIEW.
Okay, so the ending of the book was really odd. Extremely odd, but while I don't want to give the end away, I'll have to say it's a uniquely abrupt one – feels like there's more. And it makes me think of dough.

Hey, where's the rating??? *points up* It's at the top!

Excellent, excellent book, but it was LONG. Blame college or impatience with the story, but it took me forever. Loved the ending though, because while it was painful (someone dies), it still was...not happy, but satisfactory. Like, it ended well. That's all I'm gonna say. Excellent plot, perfect characterization, this was wonderful.
