A fun start to a new series! I like the premise of how magic works in the world and how their history is directly tied to current power structures and classism. And while we haven't gotten a lot from the other students yet, they have distinct personalities and I'm very interested to see where it goes in future volumes.

This first volume is fantastic. The half point off is for the information dumps. I don’t find them overwhelming but some might. If you like something that’s like entering magical world but with a Studio Ghibli-esque sensibility.

I absolutely love this manga so far! The art is what initially caught my interest, it is GORGEOUS. It's the characters, plot and detailed lore that have me hooked! The world building and attention to detail is wonderful, the magic system of this fantasy world is so unique and intricate. The thought of drawing being the way to create magic is so clever, and it has me just as curious and fascinated as the protagonist who we learn about magic alongside. I already feel attached to the cast of characters we have met, I just adore Coco <3
Super excited to see what happens next!

Witch Hat Atelier is one of the most engaging, beautiful manga that I have ever read. From the intricate magic system that is introduced, to the nuanced world, and fascinating characters, I can already tell this is going to be a new favorite.
