Wish I didn't have to read this as an audiobook, I so much prefer reading a physical copy of a book.. but this was a great prequel to the lives of Carter Diamond and Taryn Estes, how they met, how they came to be and how Carter came from Flint to Miami. My only complaint was that it was just too short!! All 3 parts could easily be combined into one full book. Anyways, worth the read and highly recommended if you cannot get enough of The Cartel!

I love the back story on Carter Diamond but I think I was expecting more. I listened to the book and it may be my least favorite by Ashley.

CARTER DIAMOND THE MAN THAT YOU ARE!!! I love Carter, he's amazing and he sticks to his principles. The audiobook was fun, the narrator brought everything to life, and it didn't feel like a novella at all. Can't wait to get to part 2.
