It seems as if the entire town of Hunter's Creek has been trying to push Gabe Hartmann and Ryn Cole into a romantic relationship for years, but with the exception of a single kiss when they were 17, they've only ever been best friends. The timing wasn't right for them back then; Gabe had just been through a breakup, and Ryn didn't want to be his rebound. But when a Hollywood production company comes to town to make a movie and a handsome crew member starts paying attention to Ryn, Gabe suddenly realizes everything he stands to lose if he lets Ryn go. Is the time finally right for them to try again?

Ryn and Gabe had fantastic chemistry, and I loved their witty, teasing banter. It wasn't hard to see why so many people in Hunter's Creek were convinced that they belonged together! They each had valid reasons for hesitating to act on their romantic feelings, but I was particularly sympathetic to Gabe, who was as afraid of losing Ryn's family as he was Ryn if their relationship didn't work out. They'd been his surrogate family ever since his mom died, and it would have been very difficult for him to lose that connection.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this super cute, funny, and sweet story. I highly recommend it for all sweet/closed door contemporary romance and romantic comedy readers and look forward to the next book in the series.
