Really disappointing.  The whole
grief is sad actually
ending of the book was not at all as intelligent and meaningful as the author thinks it was.  And also didn’t like to see the R word in a book at all.

This book made me cry so much and it was so inspiring. It's such a beautiful look into what it means to try to change the way your life was meant to be carried out and whether it is possible to change the destinies placed on us by class structures.

i've put this one down before because it was really a difficult read for me in the beginning. i had to look up several words that i still don't have in my vocabulary and almost put it down again this time.
but my perseverance paid off and i reached the point where i couldn't put  it down that i was tabbing and higlighting on almost every page 🤍
this book has very little plot but what i appreciate the most about it are the voices of the main characters. i didn't know i would enjoy a book that talks about philosophy a lot. it reminds me a little bit of the show @nbcthegoodplace
especially Chidi's character.
and also, since this book has a lot to say about art as well, i couldn't think about art without thinking of RM( @rkive ) of BTS 💜 that man loves art so much,he even performed some of his songs in a museum💜 i personally think that he would love this book, too.

i consider this book as one of my faves

I found this book confusing, drawn out and difficult to read. Parts of it were written beautifully and were paced well (specifically the last 100 pages), and other parts were dense and almost impossible to get through. The chapters from Renee’s perspective are often full of philosophical musings that I found boring.

I almost gave up on this book halfway through, but the second half was much better. There is more plot, the introduction of Mr Ozu makes for interesting relationships with the other characters, and the story picks up pace significantly. If the second half of the book was separate to the first, I would rate it higher.
