My first Sherlock Holmes read and I loved it!

Twists and turns keep the story exciting right through to the end, trying to guess who was behind it all. Very cleverly written and a fantastic read.

In a sea of absolute perfection, it may seem weird to zoom in on Lestrade's newfound respect for Holmes, but for some reason that really got to me. What else is there to say that hasn't already been said?

Be gay solve crimes!
Also if I saw a horse being swallowed by the earth, I would simply return to my boyfriend and our London flat and never leave again.
medium-paced

Slow to start and a lot of moving parts needed more focus to get the story going for me

The Hound of the Baskervilles is a mysterious, sometimes chilling novel that is not to be skipped. It’s a classic tale that everyone should read.

Her lock Holmes never disappoints Me. I love them so much and this one was just another wonderful mystery. I love me some Sherlock and I loved this story to pieces.

I'm not a huge fen of Doyle's writing style but this story was fun. A little slow at first but it picked up halfway through.

A fun short read! Sherlock Holmes never ceases to be exciting, and I'm glad this particular story was recommended to me. For those of you who are hooked on the BBC show - remember that the book is set around 1900, so you don't have any spoilers.
