More like 2.5 stars. I don't think it's necessarily bad but the story seemed to be told in such monotone way that I found it hard to keep my interest or to feel any emotion at all st the developments. Clearly not for me.

Where The Crawdads Sing is a beautifully written piece of historical fiction with a mystery wrapped up within.
Kya is such a well-developed character, who you can’t help but root for as you see her cope with each struggle and learn to thrive. The setting is incredibly written, the marsh comes alive in the novel. An exceptional coming-of-age story!

Yksin luonnon keskellä elävä - heistä haluan lukea. Tämä kirja oli yksinkertainen, mikä tavallaan sopii luontoteemaan (vaikka luonto on kaikkea muuta kuin simppeli), mutta jäi tylsäksi.

En saanut juuri yhteyttä hahmoihin: aika ja asiat vain selitettiin lukijalle. 

Jäi ärsyttämään, kuinka keskeinen ja muut asiat tieltään työntävä romanttinen rakkaus oli aiheena tässäkin kirjassa. Välillä korostettiin rakkautta villiin luontoon, mutta se oli kuitenkin jotenkin aina sivulauseessa. 

Miksi yksinelävät naiset aina raiskataan? Milloin, edes fiktiossa, meillä olisi mahdollisuus turvallisuuteen ja kehon koskemattomuuteen?
