A good read. I felt the pacing sort of slump in the middle and then race through the trial a little but overall it was a decent book.

The book was well read/written, so it was nice to listen to the journey... but I wasn't impressed with the ending...

the ending was a bit weak and predictable, was hoping for more of a twist

I cannot believe that I have ever rated a book 5 stars before reading this one. This is it, this is the 5 star book.
The story does not tell, it shows. You feel pain, suffering, sadness etched into every word, every detail. Everything about it was good from beginning to end. Every time I picked it up, I could not put it down.
There were many times I got choked-up and teary-eyed just from what was happening. Plus, the characters were all very 3D, loveable, hateable, relatable, all of it. It made me feel things at every chapter.
It is also fast-paced and easy to get through. No point did it feel like it dragged on too long and the non-linear timeline made it flow even better surprisingly.
This may be my favorite book, it is, in essence, exactly as a story should be.
Engaging, emotional, satisfying.

The imagery is incredibly beautiful and worth reading for that alone
