I hugged this book when I finished it. As we wake up to the neurodivergency in our world and develop compassion and appreciation for people who think and experience the world in different ways, we need more books by neurodivergent authors like Holly Smale! I think every human should read this book, and I know those who are neurodivergent or who love neurodivergent people will feel especially tender towards Cassandra and her experiences. But it isn't just that this book will develop our compassion and understanding, but also that Smale has written a highly entertaining story. This well-written novel features characters with complexity and even a time-travel plot with threads of romance, humor, and Greek mythology. This is a book I will be giving out as gifts!

I LOVE that the MC is on the autism spectrum. It was a slow to start story though. It took me a few chapters to get invested which isn’t normal. I was close to DNFing. But when I got to the end I was glad I didn’t. The time travel was a little messy and had not only the MC confused but me too! It was enjoyable to read the MCs journey to self discovery and self love! Overall, a well thought out and written story!

Just too awkward. Reading as the main character is tormented and misunderstood gets ild really fast.
