This book is phenomenal. It’s right up there with Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Crucial Conversations is a simple book about how to handle tough conversations. A simple book for a complex task.
The book uses scenarios to illustrate its principles, both the dos and don’ts of conversation. At many points throughout, I’d find myself thinking about my positive traits (“Hey, I’m pretty good at crucial conversations!”), immediately followed by my negative ones (Oof, I do that sometimes…”).
We’re all probably on a spectrum of effectiveness when it comes to crucial conversations, so there will likely be some points where you feel good about yourself, but I think everybody probably has something to learn from this book on how to handle difficult conversations.

This was a very great and helpful book.
I learned a lot.
How to manage dialogues, etc.
Took many notes throughout my readings.
Would recommend!

This might be the most solidly 3-star book I've ever read. The concepts are fantastic and life-changing, but the execution is clunky and clumsy and barely digestible...
