I was initially inclined to give this book 3 stars simply because all of my favourite places in Scotland were mentioned: Edinburgh, Inverness, St Andrews, even Isle of Skye. But I can't lie to myself. This turned out to be the most insta-love book I have ever read and you all know what I think about this trope.
Let's start with the 3rd person narrative. I've always chuckled at people who are going all "Ohhh I can't read that. It's in 3rd person." Boo-hoo. I've never had issues with this.... until now. I'm not sure what happened here but the "he/she" and "his/her" made go back and recheck who I'm reading about several times, and it was annoying.
The tropes: was it really a workplace enemy-to-lovers romance? Meh.
I was drown to the mystic elements of this story but this is the second book I really didn't like that involves curses and etc. So maybe this scope is not for me. Also, I won't go in to the curse-breaking thing. If you know, you know.
However, I discovered something about myself while reading this book. I prefer "a 3rd act break up" than "a 3rd act (as in 3 weeks) I love you". So that is that.

Kinda cheesy banter but the sex scenes were pretty good!
