This was so interesting. Dorian at times almost reminded me of Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment. On the whole I enjoyed this one though there were some chapters that were thoroughly boring.

I don't think I'm a patient enough reader to appreciate the majority of the classics. I loved the idea of this, but I didn't love any of the characters, and I ended up skim reading in parts because it had a tendency to get boring and slow. Chapter 11 in particular was a slog. I also found the ending completely unsatisfying which almost makes me want to give it just one star because it makes me feel like I wasted my time.
