this book took me a long time to read because of a slight reading slump and a busy life. the book itself is no way to blame as it was absolutely wonderful!!

firstly, the representation in this book !!!! AHHH *chefs kisses* ! you do not see a lot of books with mc’s who have chronic illness or are plus sizes, and talia tackled the topics so perfectly. not just with chloe, but red too!! i wont go into detail about that because it will spoil some of the book.

i absolutely adored both chloe and red, separately and together !!! 🥰 so many emotions while reading this book. maybe i should find someone to help me get a life!

I enjoyed this book but there was a little more swearing and explicit content then I would usually go for

The buildup to Chloe and Red's relationship was perfectly paced; they're such a cute pair! I enjoyed reading this book overall, but I found myself bored in certain parts.

This was a cute story, that also addressed chronic illness, relationship trauma and self-love. Honestly, I can’t comment on how accurate the representation was, but I liked how the author normalized chronic pain on Chloe’s life and how, while it is there, it doesn’t mean she’s any less capable.
The storyline was cute, definitely fast paced as almost every romcom I’ve ever read. I liked how quickly they resolved the issues when they appeared. I’m not a fan of the miscommunication trope but props for having dealt with it fast.
I’m definitely excited to read the other books on this series!

Finally a main character that is not white and has a disability that is hidden. So wonderful and a lovely read.
