This is a funny and wonderfully written romance for an unlikely pair. There is a misunderstanding trope here, and I know that bugs some readers, but I’m okay with it because I see misunderstandings happen in real life, all the time.

The only downside for me is that the spicy scenes are more vulgar than sexy. This is not to say I was offended but just occasionally jolted out of what is otherwise a beautiful romance. Aside from that, I really enjoyed Ms. Hibbert’s writing style, and I love Chloe and Red.

Overall - not as steamy as I hoped, but I did like the characters and it was a fun, light read

While I did not vibe with this book or its characters, it was a sweet fun read.

This book was so strange. The first half of it deserved 4.5 stars. The characters were large as life, the plot was interesting, the romance was intriguing, and then... Once the romance really took hold everything else took a backseat. Which is understandable, it is a romance book, but I stopped connecting with the characters once they got together, I'm not even sure why. I loved Chloe and her sisters, I will probably pick up the next two, but I hope that the rest of the series is a bit more fleshed out in the second half than this one seemed to be.
