i loved learning a bit about Kate's past AND I LOVED GETTING TO SEE LAURA AND GETTING TO MEET GABBY (it was my first time reading about her ok i have no idea WHOMST she is) AND CLINT MY BABY THE ENDING MADE ME SO HAPPY I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH
I really liked that this volume focused more on what’s going on with Kate and her father and the question of what happened to her mother (although I was also really wondering about Kate‘s sister). I enjoy superhero stories that are more personal and Kate is also just a great character and I really felt for her with everything she has to go through. I also loved the team-up between Kate and Laura and Gabby the whole book is still a lot of fun and the ending is very promising...
Continues RIGHT where the other volume left off, which is refreshing in a world of crossovers and el gigante events, and is exactly the same in terms of tone, snark, writing, and the through line of the main character, Kate Bishop. She'd be worth reading about in any story she's in, and that seems to be the key to good comics and good storytelling in general; I like who we're on a journey with, and so I trust that her writer has a place I'm going to be glad we've arrived at once I've enjoyed the trip to get there. Supporting cast is fun, plot development is big but light, like a parachute, and villains do silly comic book things without making them seem that way. Reads us more Hawkeye, we will.
I'm really digging this. I think my main complaint is with the art – Kate doesn't have superpowers, so shouldn't she be more muscular if she's doing all the physical stuff she's doing? Why we gotta have willowy women all the time, comic book artists?

Volume 2 of Hawkeye: Kate Bishop collects issues 7-12. I am enjoying this series so much! In this volume we get to learn more about Kate, particularly about her parents. Also, Laure Kinney shows up which was fantastic! I hope she shows up again! The only thing I did not really like about this volume was the unnecessary romance and the start of a love-triangle type situation. It wasn’t a big part of this volume (in fact it was really only one scene) but I have a feeling we are going to be seeing more of it in future volumes and it was continue to annoy me. Oh well, as I said, this is just such a fun series. Bring on the next volume!

Basically Kate Bishop having a rough couple of days, taking down hoards of bad guys, getting punched in the face repeatedly, and dealing with daddy issues. So, completely fun and entertaining! I love the art that shows how Kate sees the world (as targets) and the action sequences. Great cast and ongoing story.
