Incredibly moving and a must-read. T.C. Boyle's masterpiece.
I hated this book! Hated hated hated!
It was slow and really boring at ALL times.
One of the worst books I have ever picked up.

I'm not sure who is better than Boyle with playing with the reader's emotions, leaving them laughing to sobbing in a matter of pages.
A challenging, sad read.

My favorite line was his description of the democratic process in action as “the tyranny of the majority.”
Read this for school… Kind of ripped my heart apart a million times. It still holds strong today.
I wanted this to be a better book. I wanted to enjoy it. Instead reading it was a chore and the end was depressing and gave no closure. I don't understand why people like to read such depressing books.
