Very good short story
All the feels, happy and sad tears all wrapped up in less than 200 pages. I'm glad I found this one on accident it is a must read.

Have you ever had a book advertised to you on FB or IG and you just *have* to click through to read more? Yeah, I'm a sucker for those, but for the most part, I read the descriptions and just close out the window. However, something about this had me adding it via KU - I needed a quick romcom and I'm already in the holiday spirit, so I figured that if this was awful, it wouldn't be the end of the world and if it was good, I'd have a good couple of hours and another Christmas romance to add to my list. I'm happy to say that this book was the latter - it was OTT and ridiculous, but it was a fun time.
That said, this wasn't a perfect book, but it was so adorable that I forgave a lot. In particular, I disliked how our H was mean to our h to convince himself that he didn't like her, but expected that she wanted him. How very childish - but he realizes it and calls himself out for it, which I applauded. Our h was not perfect either - she gave as good as she got in the adversarial relationship she had with her boss/our H and refused to share some truths with her family for far longer than I wanted in a novella. But the steamy parts? So many and they are goooooood.
Overall, I'd read another of Alexis Winter's books... and I did. (I was in the holiday mood still, so sue me. LOL)

This was a decent book, it has been on my TBR for about 2 years, and now that I finally got the chance to read it, I was very disappointed with it. It just wasn't all it was chalked up to be.
A wonderful story !
I more than loved this one !!
It made me smile, swoon ans laugh!
It's easy to read, it's captivating and oh, so well written !
It has a great set of characters that felt so real, a very good storyline, some drama and lots of different emotions.
I will read it again for sure !!

Fantastic book to get you in the Christmas spirit!
I absolutely adored this book and all of the holiday traditions that Kate does with her family. I loved the banter, and teasing. Damon is definitely an ass at the beginning, but he more than redeems himself. And it's spicy too!

The premise was there but the execution left so much to be desired. The MMC was a total dick without any redeemable qualities. The FMC was annoying. There was a tiny semblance of a plot but none of it was written well enough for me to enjoy.
Let me get this straight: they hate each other at work, he’s a total dickwad who is actually secretly in love with her and even though she doesn’t show any signs of liking him in the least, she’s suddenly falling in love while he’s still being a dick. And the Chad plotline? There was potential for that to be explored more, especially in regards to how it effected her relationship with her family and yet it was just forgotten. The “dramatic” end fell short and just felt lazy. Suddenly there’s a happily ever after? The end?
I wish I could have liked this.

This short story is about Damon and Kate and their Christmas to remember. This is a second chance, enemies-to-lovers romance centered around a wealthy boss and his assistant.
Kate flowers have had one hell of a morning. She is running late, her car breaks down, and her boss Damon Wells threatens her job.
Damon is a jerk, but he doesn't do it on purpose as he really likes her. An accidental bar meets up, and soon he will go home with her to her family. Just wow.
This story gets both Damon and Kate's perspectives. The banter in this book is fabulous, funny, and sassy, with a little bit of flirty. This book gets steamy as this couple discovers the fire between themselves. Will they last, or is this just for the holiday weekend?
The ending of this story is so sweet and unexpected. I love the happy ending.

This reminded me a lot of Beautiful Bastard with the office setting and the asshole boss. But I really liked this! Damon was so cute finally taking a chance on his feelings.
