Started strong then became repetitive and reductive. Some strong storytelling and beautiful moments, ruined by poor character writing and a hero complex.

Engrossing and wholly original, sharp-witted dialogue with a narrative that slowly builds until it's 1:44 AM and I just had to finish the book. Will probably go buy the second one tomorrow. Might have to re-organize my reading list.
Beautiful well developed characters in a world I pictured so detailed in my imagination. Very much the first novel of a series but not in the way most think, there's no cliffhanger, this series will not reset to calm (at least I think) as most series do at the start of the next book. It's more like an accelerating car but Rothfuss doesn't ever take his foot off the break and the car has just begun accelerating.
Im very excited about this series and maybe I won't be so unlucky as to wait forever like others by time I finish the second book. Or I'll have two series im eagerly anticipating.
