it wasn't speaking to me, when I read fantasy usually by 100 pages I'm already invested in the story and world building but it was too slow for me. Maybe I'll give it another chance in a few years
This story gets bogged down in itself. You have no real plot or overarching conflict and no satisfying ending, except if you count his constant money woes. I cared about Kvothe, but seriously, how long is this series and Rothfuss isn't even close to getting to the point of the whole thing. I'm not reading the 2nd book.

I really enjoyed this book. The decision to mix first-person and third-person storytelling worried me at first, but it was well-blended by Rothfuss. I like the background of the main character and his solutions to problems are fascinating. Not exactly a traditional fantasy story, but blending a lot of those fantasy elements without becoming formulaic. There is not quite as much world-building as I might have liked, but that's nit-picking. I finished this and immediately wanted to jump right into the next one. Very good.
probablemente mi saga favorita, el lenguaje, la poesía, los diálogos, los personajes, la construcción de mundo, las teorías brutal brutal (pensando que kvothe es narrador poco fiable, porque lo de mary sue no se sostiene)

I really liked the narrative gimmick of being told this story campfire style. I immediately jumped into the second book, A Wise Man's Fear.
This is my second read after 10ish years and I honestly forgot how good the writing is. As much as I include myself in the hoards of readers steadily losing hope year by year that we will ever get our hands on the final chapter, I find myself just grateful that I got to experience such exquisite story telling. If I have to, I’ll imagine my own ending. It’s worth it.

This was a good book. It started a little slow for me but it was definitely intriguing enough to keep me invested. The main character is very likable and clever in a way that isn't written enough. The story telling aspect of the story is excellent! I'm hoping to unravel more of the mysteries in the next book.
