I swear this book felt like a million pages too long. Got nearly half way and had to dnf it. It was getting a little boring too. Not exactly sure why. Would love to have figured that out.
But yeah way too long imo.

This book had been on my radar for a while and was my first by Holly Jackson. What a creative angle for a story! I can’t imagine trying to solve my own murder. I’d be all to pieces but Jet was an incredibly strong character. There were so many unlikable people in her life that I never could quite figure out who did it, but I got kind of close. Read this if you want a book that will keep you guessing!

This was such a fun wild ride!

4.5 ⭐️ Holy Jackson you amaze me every single time! This book gripped me from the very beginning.

I found the plot so interesting - I’ve never read a book like this. The twists really got me creating new theories every few minutes. The suspense kept me so intrigued… it’s genuinely all I’ve thought about all week. The last few chapters had me sobbing - I feel like my heart has been ripped out. I loved the letters towards the end tears were shed (especially Reggie’s letter) and a few laughs.

I absolutely love Jet her humour and wit was great! Billy was so so sweet so loyal to her - loved his ending. Didn’t love Jet’s mum felt she was quite selfish. I found Luke so interesting with a lot of layers to his character. And the less said about Sophia the better

I hope Holly considers writing more adult thrillers - I’ll definitely be picking them up!!

Just want to say that I called it.
I love Holly Jackson's way of spilling details on how to solve the mystery, although you kinda see patterns when you read all her books. Sometimes i found jet's dialogues too weird, stiff or unnatural.
god forbid that ANY protagonist in Hojay's stand alone books has an intact family where no one has BIG secrets🤞. Also i love Billy omg he didn't deserve a dad like this. And screw the mom she could have taken him with her, but no leave him with the dad , geez woman. And luke needs to get his shit together...well he sould have time now. Poor cameron
Oh and if dianne blamed jet, i blame her😘
