Fables of dragons, in both English and Romanian.    A warm hug of an inclusive and affirming book, like tea and a blanket.   You can finish the entire book before your tea is cold, and re-read it a thousand times, like visiting an old friend.

This is so adorable and pretty and I’m honestly in love. With the world, the dragons, the art?
I’m honestly at a loss of words but I wanna protect this book while simultaneously giving it to everyone bc more people should read it!

This is absolutely one of my favourite books—and already was before I finally got around to reading the gorgeous, finished hardcover, as I was lucky enough to see this collection of fairy tales in different stages of development. With a theme of acceptance and the bonus of being in two languages (English and Romanian), Alia Terra knows how to push all my buttons and probably those of other language-lovers out there, too. Actually holding a copy in my hands makes it even better, as it’s beautifully published, and the art that accompanies the stories can only be described as magical. Which I’m not just saying because my Dragon of Ynys has a cameo in it, but yes indeed, it does! :D
I’m also still impressed that when you’ve finished the book, you’ll immediately want to open it again to begin reading from the start. It’s a marvellous gift that keeps on giving, clearly made with so much love.

Lovely! My very sensitive kid enjoyed the heck out of it, as did I. Extremely relatable dragons. I love the disabled dragon’s arc. Kiddo wants me to add that there should be a sequel where the dragons all meet each other.

This was beautiful and charming and healed by heart in a moment when it felt fractured and worn. Fairy tales full of queerness and self-acceptance and love. The illustrations are as beautiful as the stories themselves.

I have only love for this book. The art is amazing, the stories are moving and I love everything about it.
