3.80 stars this book was a promising start, I consider it an introduction to the world, a warm up, you can see from here that Auren as well as Midas are going to be very complex characters as well as their relationship, it’s clear that she suffer from some sort of emotional manipulation because of him, he managed to stockholm syndrome her really hard I’m so curious about her character development because I can see a lot of potential in her, she has a lot of fire and courage underneath it all and she is funny kindhearted but the girl has also an attitude I can’t wait for her to open her eyes and realize what a toxic bond her and Midas share, I still want his pov though he is such an interesting character, and now that commander Rip was introduced I just can’t wait to read more about him.

The first half of this book was amazing, I didn’t even realise how much of the book I had read until I looked at the percentage on the kindle. It was pure entertainment. The second half was less good but still decent.

I’m obsessed! This was so good, brutal but good and I cannot wait to see what has lead Auren to make the decisions she has! The twist, the seed planting I am very excited!!

Povestea asta a fost o surpriză tare plăcută, deși nu aș putea spune exact la ce mă asteptam. Asta o datorez descrierii vagi, care nu oferă detalii importante 👌
Personajele au fost plăcute, iar aici mă refer mai degrabă că au redat exact ce au trebuit pentru "rolul" jucat. Auren se zbate mereu între recunoștință pentru salvare și nedreptate pentru faptul că trăiește închisă. Mi-a plăcut și că nu a fost eroina perfectă care poate face orice.
Pe Midas l-am urât de la prima la ultima pagină, e un bărbat puternic și absolut groaznic!
Aș mai menționa iepele (ce denumire teribilă pentru "preferatele" regelui), fete care sunt supuse unor fapte oribile, dar care nu au voie să arate cum se simt sau să se împotrivească.
Mi-a fost și greu să citesc pe alocuri, e multă violență și abuz se*ual, am simțit extrem de multă milă pentru fetele astea al căror singur ghinion a fost să arate superb.
Ceea ce m-a luat prin surprindere a fost plotul, s-au întâmplat destul de multe și m-a ținut mereu în priză.
Sunt curioasă de volumele următoare!
