I was let down. This book disappointed me so much. I guess I judged a book by its cover, cus’ I thought the cover art was real cool.
I didn’t care for the main characters at all, really. In fact, I really disliked Ricky. I found him annoying and simple-minded.
I also didn’t really care for the art.
I’m assuming it’s supposed to be some mix of manga and realism, emulating a sort of video game look. It did do it but I found it rather cheap looking.
The story itself is alright, just not what I was expecting. I was underwhelmed.

It was good but some of the panels/English translation was really weird, like it didn't flow well. Other than that, the story was pretty cool.
I'm a huge fan of most things Resident Evil so when I saw this was a series I got the first one to read and see how it was. This was honestly way way better than I thought it was going to be. The characters are compelling and the story line grabs your attention from the start. The art work is just the right amount of gritty for the subject matter. I highly recommend this and can't wait to continue the series in the future.
Excellent setup for a rip-roaring zombie story. Points off only for having little character introduction before throwing them into the ring.
Edited: Should probably mention that I do not play/watch/follow the Resident Evil world, so I have no preconceived notions about these characters or how they fit into the rest of the universe.

A quick read, I’m glad I finally convinced myself to get this series. I love Resident Evil, and while it says it’s a prequel to 6 I don’t see how.
Not horrific, not entertaining. This weird manga incarnation of Resident Evil was not for me.
