I chose these stories because there is rumor that they are reminiscent of Jackson’s work and I think it is an apt comparison.
Often times with a book of short stories, I find myself experiencing a roller coaster of attraction—my interest expands and compresses with each story because of the lack of consistency. Each of the stories in this collection, however, are at their peak and therefore, so was my fascination with each one. My personal favorites were: The Dirty Kid, The Intoxicated Years, Adela’s House, and Spiderweb.

Would recommend to readers who want to read more about Argentinian history and for fans of body horror.
