Truth be told I read this from a list of most influential books of all time. Social media lead me to make the decision to try this read. For very small moments I got it but mostly the teachings went in one ear out the other. Perhaps if I read this in a different mindset or multiple times I could make better sense of the teachings. They seem simple yet complex. For example we can be given 4 simple ingredients to make a dish but there’s a 100 ways to produce the dish with those 4 ingredients. The same is said of war. Perhaps the teaching that I best understood was the connection of war and water. As water ebbs and flows so does war and as water moves differently every time over its surroundings so does war.
Fascinating!! I kept thinking that there are many facets of life that this book can be applied to. It’s so short too - definitely a reread!

I guess this book is either famous because it’s the first to value preparation or the first war strategy book? Basically comes down to preparation and knowing your surroundings. Everything else is a quote I’d expect some crypto-bro to have in the Instagram bio.

Listened to this on audible and the narrator was great. This is more a book to be read and studied though.

Este señor es bastante Capitán Obvio. Da una serie de consejos bélicos y militares con bastante sentido común pero que no veo tan fácilmente aplicables a la vida moderna.
No es nada aburrido pero no me ha aportado gran cosa.
