This book was really hard to read, the subject matter is tough and I feel so bad for Deicide and Tickles. Interesting about her grandparents also being in the “business”though, and I am curious to see what happens in the next segment!
Her father is so so psychotic eeek!

Little graphic and she says this is nothing. Hope i can get through the other 9 the daughter is so young and really is innocent because she only knows what she is taught we will see if that changes as she gets older.

Yeesh. This might be one of the most intriguing starts to a series I've ever read. Wasn't sure what to expect, got much more than I bargained for. On to book 2!

I would definitely classify this as extreme horror. Not for insanely violent (yet still pretty much there at the end), but for all the f’d up stuff that happened to the kid. Animal abuse iot punish a child was brutal. The book wasn’t scary, but it pulled at my heart strings and made me feel genuinely sad and angry throughout. Something that I don’t usually get with SC. Definitely one of my better reads from her - as it didn’t rely on absurd violence to be unique, but was able to create a story from the POV of a 4 y/o that was brutal coming from that perspective.
