Unbelievable that history like this was hidden for so long. I only wonder how many more stories of women have gone untold. 10/10

Enjoyed this book as women like Elizabeth did not get the recognition she deserved not only because she was in a walled-off male dominated field but because of the secrecy involved. Even the Coast Guard gets some overdue recognition in the book.

It was a very interesting read. Elizabeth was a very smart woman who is a very important person in history. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have a harder time with nonfiction books and while most chapters where interesting there were a few that were boring to me.

This book will leave you grateful for the Friedman's tireless contributions, saddened by the lack of recognition for Elizebeth and annoyed at Hoover for being an image obsessed rewriter of truth
