Day Man has no obvious appreciation for this fantastic story (yet) but we read it anyway and I loved it.

I love the ditty at the end:

"Home again swiftly I glide,
Back to my beautiful bride.
She'll not feel so rotten
As soon as she's gotten
Some cider inside her inside."

Kort en jolig kinderboek over een vossenfamilie die o.l.v. van de vader, een stroper, drie lelijke gemene boeren te slim af is, vooral door veel te graven. Het boek heeft weinig om het lijf, eindigt abrupt en lijkt te willen zeggen dat stelen van gemene mensen goed is.
