I was about to give up on finding new comics to read when this popped up, I saw an Ad about the TV adaptation and decided to give it a shot.
It's about a loner boy who has dead parents, anxiety, and some missed-up life. He gets into assassin school where all the other loner outcasts are, and becomes less lonely there.
He's thought of as a psycho killer and has a reputation before even starting school, which makes some some students hate him but also keeps him out of harm's way.
There is a psycho person seeking revenge and wants to kill him, but I have no clue why.
Overall, I think we're up to great TV series in Jan 16th.

The TV show is actually a really direct adaptation of the comic book, which surprised me a lot. I really don't have any strong feelings about this but definitely prefer the TV show. I'm sure for people who have some nostalgia for the 80s this would be much more impactful.

this was SO badass. i think the reason why i can’t give it a solid 4/5, even though i thoroughly enjoyed it and want to, is because it was different for me, and very out of my comfort zone. just a toe dip into the world of comics. the art was fucking FANTASTIC, and the color scale on each page so aesthetically pleasing. i’m always a sucker for a book about a band of delinquent, witty, teenagers, so this was super enjoyable for me. my only wish is that they showed more of marcus navigating the new highschool, the volume was super fast paced, and hard to get to know what the main conflict was. maybe that’s just how it is in a comic series, and i just haven’t experienced that kind of writing before. i really really loved this though!! so cool!!
