I was hooked, I really wanted to know what happened.
I felt so sad that Tallullah wasn’t speaking to her mom about how horrible Zach was, I really wished she did. And I was so glad that Tallullah was saved in the end. I know they’re fictional but I was really into it.

I’ll be reading more of Jewell’s books in the future.

I am still slightly in shock by the ending of this book. It was not what I was expecting, but so intriguing at the same time. I almost want to reread it to see if I could find other clues throughout. A fascinating thriller, my only complaint is that the beginning portion was a little slow.

I really enjoyed this book, was an overall easy read where I wanted to see where it went and needed to read a little more each time I picked it up.

well this wouldnt be my usual pick, I'm not really a thriller girl BUT this was a very good thriller though

for me this book is like a gradient between one part and the other.

and what I mean by that is I was pretty bored at the start of this book. i couldn't really get into it because I wasn't into the characters but at the same time, i get that you're not really supposed to like the characters. i felt like the first part was a lot of empty suspense and build up which is obviously important but, I just did not enjoy the first like 150-200 pages.

and then it slowly fades into the second part WHICH I REALLYY LIKED. listen, this book might not have had any big plot twist moments (for me at least), but i was still CAPTIVATED for like the second half of the book.

so that's why i kinda don't know how to describe my feelings lol, the first part is like a 2 stars but the last part is like 4/4.5 stars.

Holy crap???? It’s definitely slow at first, but I believe it was building up to that moment. Loved how the author did different perspectives on the characters that was leading up to that moment!

This was slow and hard to follow at first, but still somehow I needed to keep going and I’m glad I did. I would recommend it if you are looking for a “gotta know what happens” book without the heart racing suspense of a usual thriller book. I was able to read this in my free time over the course of a four days vs. some thrillers I literally have to devour in 1-2 sittings. I have a comment about the ending that contains a SPOILER….

Tallulah loved Noah so much. She was always just wanting him all throughout the book. There was no description of a reunion between her and Noah in the end and that was disappointing for me. As a mom myself, I literally cannot imagine the against of being away from your child for that long and then finally being with them again.
