I loved the main plot of this story, but there were some things that just made no sense. Is

her sister a werewolf? Or what? And why is that even in this book that has no other fantasy creatures?

There are some other plotlines that just don't like up as well, like the random letters throughout the story really added confusion because we didn't know those characters yet.

However, I LOVE the main plot and am now in love with Beatrice as well and can't wait to read the second book of this series when it comes out in June!

Honeslty, I didn't have like crazy high hopes but was intrigued. It was surprisingly funny. I enjoyed the silliness involved in creating so many tropes. I did not see the end coming, granted I don't read a ton of mystery. I loved that it had little nods to Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre which was very fun. Ms Bolton is by far my favorite character and who I strive to be. I still have many questions about Mary. But, I'm so glad I don't live in Swampshire.

Enjoyed this so much. A number of laugh out loud moments, and other giggling to myself.

I'm a big fan of Jane Austen and therefore hold retellings and "inspired by" works to a high standard. A Most Agreeable Murder is a well-paced, well-constructed cozy mystery and a witty, delightful homage to Austen. I completely loved it.
