“Perhaps deep down she reasoned that if she knew what evil lurked in the world, she might be prepared to face it.”

A fun cozy mystery set in the 1800’s with a main character ahead of her times. One review said “Bridgerton with Agatha Christie flair” I would argue the setting is the only aspect of Bridgerton you are going to get. Otherwise, a lot of quirky characters that will make you chuckle, set in a locked room mystery.
