Thoroughly silly fun and an enjoyable read. It's a send up to Jane Austen and Agatha Christie with a healthy dose of comedy. I truly hope Seales continues with the characters to make this a series!

This was just delightful. A ball turns deadly and our main character fortunately has an obsession with reading the crime stories in the newspaper and embarks on the challenge of solving it alongside a professional detective who of course we want her to fall in love with. There were a lot of twists in the story that I didn’t see coming and the characters were truly well rounded and hilarious. A very fun listen that kept me engrossed through the end.

Cute concept blending Austen sisters and Agatha Christie, but there was too much else going on.
this book has no idea what it's supposed to be and the author doesn't know the difference between "pants" and "trousers" in british english but hey it was cute i guess!
I thought this book was cute. I liked Beatrice and enjoyed the side characters. I definitely guessed some of the twists but not all of them. The audio was done well and I kept wanting to listen. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
