I did not like Fifer in this book. She was a huge, jealous jerk to Thisbe and it made me very sad and mad. Though the scene with the ball was quite fun, Fifer obsessed over it too much when there was more important matters. She is starting to turn into Alex, and not necessarily in a good way... This one was great, onto the next and last for a month or so!

I'm going to start off with some general information about the series.

This series is a middle grade(i thought so at least, there are some dark stuff in here?
Namely the person who got blasted into pieces, the bits rolling on the floor...
) high fantasy. The main theme that it starts off with is the beauty of creativity. I think it accomplishes what it was trying to do very well. I think it was trying to create a sense of wonder, and that is exactly what I feel when I think about this series and world. I was reminded of the original series when I started this sequel series a few months ago. I have very fond feelings toward it and am excited to see more of the story in this world through the sequel series(lots of dragons in this one!).

I enjoyed the book. I couldn't stop reading and was drawn into the story the entire time. Mind you, it has its flaws. For example(and the only example I can think of), it has a plot convenience at the end... which made me laugh. I didn't mind it at all.

Anyway, loved reading this. I will continue with the series soon.
