This book gives a great, completely unbiased overview of both sides of the child/childfree debate. The chapters are well-laid out and easy to follow, which also made it easy to skip parts that didn't apply to me. The bibliography will definitely be helpful in the future because it covers myriad subtopics within the child/childfree spectrum.

This is a book that's aimed at people who aren't very introspective, or haven't had a chance to be introspective. I didn't find it very helpful. It also has a very small section on looking at this issue through the lense of infertility, but doesn't really give help for deciding whether to stop treatment and cut your losses or not. There is a chapter on surrogacy and adoption, though.

This book does a fantastic job breaking down the many interconnected impulses and influences that surround the decision to have (or not have) a child. It uses accessible language and relatable scenarios to illustrate the many psychological, emotional, and logical constraints that show up. Would recommend to anyone who's thinking about babies, even those who feel more confident in their opinions than I do.
