These books make me so happy :)

I loved Mariel so much and basically everyone was a great character. There were so many funny lines! And the antics of the Dibbuns :p

The fire swinging episode was excellent - I like when the Abbey-dwellers don’t win everything. The hares hit me hard :( I do wish Gabool hadn’t gone mad, he would’ve been a more legit villain.

This last quarter was very good and had the best ending of a Redwall series yet. Tarquin and Hon Rosie got married, had kids and formed the Foot Patrol. Dandin and Mariel left the abbey to go adventuring, I'm sure we'll see them again. Saxtus became Father Abbott. Rawnblade gave the bell to Redwall and they named it after the Bellmaker, Joseph. Tree Rose and Tom Oak were married. All the sea rats were killed instead of being spared. Gabool The Wild was killed painfully by the giant black Scorpion. What a great ending.

Honestly might not have even made it to 3 stars and THEN
JOSEPH WAS ALIVE LEADING A SLAVE REVOLT!

Mariel: The mouse, the MYTH, the legendddd.

I loved this, but I’m just a big fan of Redwall’s sturdy heroes and horrible yet incompetent villains in general. The rich storytelling interweaves an intimate intermingling of the forest and creatures of Mossflower with feasting, prophecies, jokes, and good ole resolve.

The audiobooks are also a big plus because the author narrates with a cast of readers for the character voices. This makes the songs so much better than reading them in text.
