This was a very challenging book at first, but once I got into it, I couldn’t stop reading it. It was written and styled in such a way I had never read before. Incredibly intriguing!!

A fantastic and thought provoking book that serves as a master class in how to write a chilling and engaging anti war story

the comfort in this novels absurdity is unparalleled.
the novels able to share an extremely tragic and dark story while simultaneously cracking jokes and making the weight of the book feel so light. a must read for those who appreciate more reflective historical pieces with some nice sci fi.

“You’ll pretend you were men instead of babies, you’ll be played in the movies by Frank Sinatra and John Wayne or some other glamorous, war loving, dirty old men. And war will look just wonderful, so we’ll have a lot more of them. And they’ll be fought by babies like the babies upstairs.” - Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five
