First and foremost, its a historical fiction. The author took the fact that there was a spy ring in New Your working against the British and other related facts from the time and spun her take on it. It was an awesome tale and highlights the state of women from that era. I especially like the closing note by the author where she explains the complete context of her book and her mission - "to highlight the women of history and their contributions to the present" (paraphrasing here). Its a short and quick read (or listen on Audible)

Agent 355 by Marie Benedict was book #26 for 2020 and is a story based on actual events. It tells the partially fictionalized story of Elizabeth Morris, a heroine who risked her life as a spy during the American Revolution.
The story is full of espionage and adventure. There's even a little bit of romance though thankfully not enough to make it nauseating. I listened to the Audible Audio version. I thought the narration was well done and was definitely an enhancement to the story.

This is a novella that reads like a precis for a longer novel. It feels simplistic and rushed. I'd have preferred to read a full-length novel with the same premise.
