I liked the idea, but the execution, not so great. I'm hoping it's more due to the translation, otherwise this would be 1 star. Also hate the non-ending. I do like ambiguous, open endings, but this one lacked a spark.

This book wasn't good. I don't know if it was the translation or what, but it just wasn't good. The main character is one dimensional and the story is such a drag to get through. If it wasn't just a 120 pages then I would have DNF it so hard in the first 10 pages.

The story is about a girl who develops OCD due to her abusive mother, one who is so bad that she constantly manipulates her daughter into thinking she is to blame for everything. She even called her a disgusting girl for having a period... Seriously lady? And though the representation of OCD is not far off from how it manifests in real life, the book itself does a horrible job executing it without making the story dull and boring. Honestly, the story just didn't flow, one minute she was 9 the next page she's 13. It's just bad writing.

Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone unless you want to die of boredom.

I like that this books talked about mental health in a way that made it the focus and showed why it can be so hard to ask for help. Loved that it was a shorter book but covered a larger amount of time.
