this comic was so fun. the artwork was beautiful and i loved the backstory on all of jennifer’s victims. it was suck a quick and easy read which got me out of my mini slump i was having. it literally took me like 30 or 40 minutes to finish.

Nice short graphic novel that complements the film really well-- it serves to flesh out the lives of Jennifer's victims. If you love the movie, you'll dig this :) and each of the chapters is drawn by a different artist, which is cool.

First note: I have never heard of or seen the movie for Jennifer's Body before reading this graphic book.

Jennifer Check is an incredibly popular and attractive high school female with a dark, horrific secret - she is currently possessed by a hungry demon with an insatiable appetite. I found the novel fun and enjoyable with the right amount of blood splatter. I thought the plot was lacking but in light of it being an adaption of what appears to be a pretty typical horror film, I feel as though this is not the fault of the Mr. Rick Spears.
I love the concept of a graphic novel incorporating several different artists to depict a single story HOWEVER I personally thought the illustrations in the first chapter (by Jim Mahfood, I believe) just didn't meld as nicely together as each of the other chapters/illustrators.

All in all though, a nice sit down horror and gore to fill in my day.

It’s written by a man and you can tell. Unlike the movie it doesn’t show anything gay and Jennifer is just a monster, she isn’t a girl who was sacrificed like in the movie. It’s not as nuanced as the movie.

Y'know what could've been great? If we got to read more about Jennifer instead, but sure, focus on the boring guys' mediocre lives and bloody paint her more as the monster in your sexual fantasies. Now, if you'll excuse me- I'm going to watch the movie for the umpteenth time to cleanse myself of this misery-

This was bad. Very bad.

Whoever wrote this just ruined a great funny movie into this over-sexualised trash.
