This was my first Anne Perry book and I didn’t necessarily have any expectations, but I thought it was an entertaining book. I listened to it on audio while wrapping presents, so maybe it contributed to my enjoyment. I thought the book was very atmospheric and I enjoyed the dialogue as well. Not a huge mystery, but as a Christmas novella I don’t think it needed to be.

It was alright. still left with un answered questions. I did enjoy the story .

This one was just ok for me. It was my first book by this author and I think most of my disappointment lies in the fact that I thought this was going to be a mystery, and it really wasn't. It is definitely about a journey though and so the title is fitting. It's just not what I was expecting or the type of book I enjoy. Not sure if I will continue to read the rest of the stories in this series.

This was a very quick read - more a novella really - I started and finished it on Boxing Day - and read other books as well! It was…interesting, but not gripping. Not sure whether it makes me want to read more Anne Perry or not… I think I would read one more - if it is like this one, I may not read any more, but I have hopes a full-length novel would be more developed.

A fictional analogy of repentance, restitution, and forgiveness.

Wow. That was terrible. I didn't like a single character in this story. I can't believe this is the same author who wrote the William Monk and Thomas & Charlotte Pitt books.
