Author doesn't trust the reader. Over explains & repeats info constantly. Too bad because the idea was interesting.
The beginning was really captivating but the middle got boring and the characters got unlikeable 😔
Could have been a 5-star read but the ending was very abrupt and unsatisfying, and most aggregiously, the audiobook narration brought it down significantly. So many words mispronounced, long gaps in the middle of phrases. The editing and proofing on the audiobook was non-existent and it was extremely distracting.

I enjoyed the story, but overall, it felt like it wasn't developed enough, as if we were just skimming the surface of the characters and storyline. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters, so a lot of the actions didn't throw a punch like they were supposed to. Pacing was slow
