What a masterpiece!
This book was a challenge to me and out of my comfort zone but I enjoyed it so, so much. This was epic. Even though the writing/story was a bit dense at times I really didn't mind it because the characters kept this going for me.
These characters, man. So messed up but incredibly fascinating. The way their group dynamic changed over the course of this book was very interesting. At times I wasn't sure if I should love or hate the characters (except for Francis. I will always love Francis).
Richard Papen was a really interesting narrative. I found it quite intriguing the way his character changed from the beginning of the book towards the end of it.
