When I first acquired and read these in the mid-aughts I was non-plussed by the fact that they didn't tell the complete story of the Antiquities War. The story cuts off rather abruptly. It turns out that Armada had initially planned 8 issues for the series, but it was cut to four. A two-part "Urza-Mishra" war comic was put out, but it still doesn't get us to the climactic destruction of Argoth.

These comics are still interesting to read, even though most aspects of them have been over-written by Jeff Grubb's superb 'The Brother's War'. If you want to read anything from early Magic: The Gathering continuity, read that novel. It was brilliant, but unfortunately very hard to find.

Anyway, the series is still enjoyable for the art and the narrative fragments from Kayla bin Kroog and Taysir of Rabiah.
