2.5 stars. Read as an audio book on my journeys too and from work and while relaxing at home. I found it quite and entertaining storyline and really liked the character Joyce and her diary entries.
I did however find all of the characters and their relationships to each other and the plot to be rather confusing and hard to keep track of. This may have been because I was not physically reading the story on paper but I still could not always make links between different character and in the end I felt like nearly half of the characters had somehow murdered someone and none of the other characters seemed to really bat an eye. Far fetched storyline with far too many little subplots. Like the ashes in the tiger tin? What? It was so irrelevant and random and the frequent and casualness of murdering your spouse? Just an odd book

Really easy read, I enjoyed the storyline, something a little bit different but quite fun. I just found some parts a bit clunky. A good holiday read or cosy crime option!

3.5/3.75 out of 4

really really fun and easy to read, good storyline, enjoyable characters

at the 75% point it kinda got a little to convoluted and pushing the red herrings a bit much, but still enjoyable nonetheless, also some of the random lines and dialogue don’t feel natural or like they fit
