I love when a series gets better with each book. I was drawn in to this town full of people in the first book with Delaney and Ethan. At the end, we got to see a little bit of the spark between Trace and Avery when they met, so I've been looking forward to this book and it didn't disappoint.
Trace. Talk about the ideal bad boy. He's an ex-con but ultimately still a good man. It didn't hurt that the author described him just how I like em. Tall, muscular, black hair, blue eyes...Yeah, enough said. Avery's considered a good girl but she had a difficult childhood. She knows what it means to be judged unfairly. The chemistry between these two was felt right at the beginning.
My only complaint would be these two were a bit too insecure but really with their pasts, it is understandable? The author did a good job of making me curious about the last sister. Not a lot gets revealed about Chloe and I can't wait to learn her story. ARC provided by NetGalley.

ARC received from: Netgalley
Rating: 4*
Trope: Small Town
Chemistry: Low Boil
One-Sentence Summary: Two people with a boatload of issues find each other irresistible
Review: I am finding this series a lot harder to get into than Jordan's Hockey series but I am glad I stuck with this book - Trace has a heart of gold.
I am getting a little tired of Austin - he is like the baddie in a pantomime.
I am guessing the third book will be Zane/Chloe?

Chalk up another Skye Jordan winner
It hasn't taken long for Skye Jordan to become one of my go-to, automatic one-click authors. I started with the Renegade series and haven't looked back. I have yet to be disappointed or find a flaw in anything I've read. Hot, swoony guys, smart, strong women and good stories to go with them. Ms. Jordan is the real deal.

Wild Kisses The Wildwood series, keeps getting better. I love the message that Ms. Jordan places at the forefront of every story: Everyone deserves a second chance, so grab hold and make it count. Forbidden Fling laid the groundwork with Delaney and Ethan's journey to forgiveness and ultimately romance. Wild Kisses continues this powerful saga as Delaney's sister Avery finds her voice, opens her heart and seeks her own happily every after. Trace is the object of her secret fantasies. A self-made man with a boatload of mistakes hanging like a noose around his neck. Will he ever learn to see himself as more than the bad choices he's made? Two people with broken hearts and shattered dreams, just may find redemption in each other. Author, series and characters are showstopping.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much at the end as I did at the beginning. Wild Kisses started out really great, the H/h had great chemistry, and the storyline was really good. The book seemed to drag once I hit the halfway mark, unfortunately. Trace and Avery were fantastic together, but it really felt like Trace’s past could have easily been dealt with without so much angst and inner turmoil. It also felt like a comedy of errors with the bakery remodel. It seems pretty unrealistic that SO MANY bad things would happen on one job. For her part, Avery was great. She seemed to have the perfect amount of troubled backstory and optimism. Overall, I really would have enjoyed this book more had the author wrapped it up a lot sooner!

Hard to stop reading
This is the first book I have read in the series. Trace and Avery went from friends trying to ignore their attraction to lovers bursting into flames from this stoked embers of friendship.
Avery was being pitied because of her failed marriage and Trace was being judged because of his past. Together, they found they were stronger. Strong enough to reach their goals. One of which included building their relationship.
This was a sweet, sexy, romance coupled with a little drama and suspense. I loved Trace's determination to change his image amongst the people in the town, and Avery's overall strength and independence.
I will definitely be reading book 1 in the series. It is available via Kindle Unlimited.

I was provided an ARC from Netgalley (and then won a GoodReads giveaway!) in exchange for an honest review:
I love Skye Jordan, and I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the Wildwood series. It's not often I feel I identify strongly with a character, but I really felt like I understood Avery. I also really liked Trace as a character in the first Wildwood book, and was excited to get more of him in this one. An ex-con who really isn't, and who is trying redeem himself and do the right things. I plowed through this book on a flight home from vacation I enjoyed it so much.

WILD KISSES seeks to give second chances to the main characters who haven't necessarily had it easy when it has come to love and life: Avery and Trace. While we learned a bit about them, separately, in the first book, we certainly were left hanging and in need of more. Jordan pens their fragile love story that is built from the bare bones of a building that signifies hope. For both characters.
Avery is freshly divorced and sinking everything she has, both money and mental strength, into building her dream cafe and bakery. Sacrificing her time and heart to her husband for near a decade, she's more than ready to give her all to something that gives her purpose. I loved her fighting spirit and invigorating drive. She complemented Trace perfectly. Because he's just as lost and in turmoil as she is. His ex-con status has shunned him from getting work and building up his company. Underneath everything that is Trace, is his big, caring heart. That man carries it on his sleeve in every aspect of his life. I loved how they fit with one another and gave the other the lift they needed in ways they didn't expect.
The beginning started a bit slow, but once the sexual tension began boiling, the story really picked up. The back-and-forth between them kept the tension at a high and with Jordan's ability to pen eroticism, it really brought this book to a fever pitch. WILD KISSES gives us exactly that: kisses that evoke passion and hidden feelings. Their love story jumped a lot of hurdles, and was filled with great romance. The Hart sisters and their love stories have been both fun and wild, and I cannot wait to get the next sisters' story.

This was an enjoyable story, that really drew me in and kept me engaged and entertained throughout. With a group of characters who on the whole were extremely likable and even though I hadn't read the first book in the series, I never felt like I was missing out.
As for the story itself it was extremely easy to read, there was no real angst, plenty of hot moments, and sweet ones too. I also really liked Avery and Trace as a couple. Avery certainly is much more than the character you are first introduced too, and Trace's background was interesting in that he is very different to the ex con done good I was expecting at the outset, and as the story progressed I found myself getting more and more involved in this couple. As well as their respective families and was so happy that Trace and Avery managed to get that elusive happy ever after.
I would therefore definitely recommend this story to others and will certainly be going back and reading the first book in this series soon.
