Niall was always one of my favourite characters from the Everlake Prep series. He has his own brand of crazy that is random and unhinged, throw in a tragic back story and a handsome face and you kind of have your perfect psycho hit man. Now throw in Brooklyn, who we only saw briefly in the other series. This chick is like an evil, beautiful cartoon villan from Batman who is in Arkham Asylum for life, except she escaped and then got captured in a completely crazy way. And a dash of Mateo, who I just can't ruin for you, you need to unpeel this onion all on your own! This story kind of surprises you at every turn, but you're lost in the internal ramblings of likeable nutters, so you just kind of throw yourself into the turn and hold on. This is crazy fun, with neon paint splattered in amongst the blood!

Favorite quote: “I’d always wanted to kill a Lionel. There was something about that name which just screamed evil overlord to me, and I felt it was best to rid the population of them just in case they ever tried to rise up and rule the world like some kind of megalomaniac dragon king.”

I had to DNF this. I love the twisted sisters writing usually but there was something about the chaotic nature of the characters that made it hard to read. I might try again later

The Twisted Sisters did it again! Another book of theirs I LOVED. I seriously fell in love with Niall and his craziness while reading Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep and was like “hmm whatever happened to that girl they ‘saved’?!” I was beyond excited when I discovered I didn’t have to make up my own answer and that the sisters already had a completed story for me to DEVOUR.

I read this book in 2 days and fell in love with Brooklyn and Mateo as well as Niall. The spice in this book was pretty slow compared to what I was expecting, but you can’t fall for totally deranged psychopaths overnight… right?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Insane in the brain stars

I believe that this has to be best book of 2021 that I have read so far this year. This is my first book to read by these ladies and I can honestly say it won't be my last for realz.

This book from the start had me trying to figure out just what was going on with the FMC (Brooklyn) aka Spider then it hit me she was nuts...literally. I swear her self talks had me rolling I haven't laughed so much in a book, something bad happened to her in her past to trigger her rather psychotic unicorn self and believe me it's heartbreaking.

She has 2 side kicks a crazy sexy af Irishman (Niall) what I wouldn't give to hear his voice...purrrr he wants to kill her 1 min then he wants her the next min, but he's afraid of acting on his feelings so he keeps her at arms length. He also has a Coco pop obsession just like she does.

Then you have the last but certainly not least El Burro aka Matteo aka Dead Man he's the man the Carilla Cartel send to fix problems and make them go away he's been taken by Niall so yeh there's no bro love there, but he can't decide if he wants to kill her or make her his 1 min to the next as their both locked down in the basement of Nialls home.

There's definitely something blooming between these 3 just what it is you'll need to one click and find out. This is a long book and hysterical, but it's one not to be missed.
