this books is way too sugary sweet
This is not a bad book- it held my attention. However it was all bows, glitter, and rainbows. Sure there were “hardships” but Reid and Page had no faults and were too perfectly written. The ending was too happy, too perfect. Everything was too perfect. It was just way way way to cookie cutter and sweet. I will not read from this author again.

I was given a copy of this book as an Arc and asked to review it. I am leaving an honest review voluntarily.
This book is a fantastic story about honor, forgiveness, and overcoming peer pressure. It was an excellent read, and I truly enjoyed it.
Paige is a high school student, orphan, and outcast, even in her own family. Reid is a new student star with a football career within his grasp, but that changes his senior year of high school when he meets the girl.
This book is from both Paige and Ried's point of view. Although it includes bullying, I have to say that the author really tapped into a high school setting in the way the characters act and talk. It does include language and bullying scenes, but she works in it wonderfully. It doesn't come off as offense or trigger-causing. I could imagine it as a real high school with the social levels and outcasts. Unfortunately, Paige is unfairly outcasted due to her jealous cousin. Reid is the new hot student who is drawing all sorts of unwanted attention, and he is smooth in his wording, almost swoon-worthy.
This book progresses fast, almost like an instant love novel, but I can't be helped but be trapped in its story. It is sad, and you do want to feel and for the character who obviously isn't being treated right. But at the same time, I'm humbled by the honorable boy who came into her life and made a difference.
This book gets steamy, so beware nothing like first love and a first time. This book, unfortunately, goes from swooning and things looking up to outrage as you read. So be warned it gets worse before it gets better. The author did a great job of making the story exciting and natural to the readers. This story does end, and it has a surprising ending. I didn't expect that nemesis or that ending, but I loved every minute of this read.
I truly loved how this book could have been a real-life movie as I read it. The reality of it and the situation could happen, and it is believable. I thought the author did a great job with the characters displaying loyalty, honor, and forgiveness traits. Yes, this story is based on high school and does pertain to a lot of bullying, but it also shows how it can be turned around. I don't feel it needs a trigger warning as it isn't a dark story. It is almost inspiring to see reality flipped as things change for the better. But this book is definitely for a mature audience as it does pertain to adult situations.

So this book would have been a 3 star, decent except for a little editing error that caused a major plot issue and knocked a star off. The crazy stalker chick is only mentioned a few times, but the first time she is introduced as "Roxanne" while every subsequent mention is of "Suzanne". This majorly confuses the foreshadowing of the villain, having you on the lookout for a Roxanne the whole time, only to realize the author must have changed the name at some point in writing the story and forgot to change it back. With such an important character like this and having so few mentions in the book anyways, it's vital to the build up of the plot to have the correct name.
