This is one of those picture books with lots of words, so it will be difficult for toddlers and active children to sit through. The story is alright though and the illustrations are beautiful. I was also very happy with who the narrator turned out to be.

I liked the idea of Kris Kringle having a sister but I don't know. The illustrations were good.

Different story than most Christmas stories. Glad to see some Pagan Christmas books for kids. But, I would have preferred the ending be more positive. Her brother for whom she had been searching for her lifetime was dismissive and didn’t accept her for who she was. I think if she would have just accepted herself and realized her brother was an idiot and she didn’t need him after all and lived with the animals, that would have been a better ending. Also, it’s silly that people don’t accept the Christmas witch in the story but isn’t Santa technically a Christmas wizard? Double standards for genders, definitely.
Positives: the drawings were beautiful. I would like to listen to it with Aubrey Plaza as the narrator.

This is a beautifully illustrated story about a witch, sometimes good, sometimes evil, and her journey.
