This was my first ever thriller and I loved it. This book hooked me right from the prologue! I loved how it was thought provoking, I loved that it kept you on your toes and guessing. I even at one point had my own suspect which was wrong but also right somehow and the reveal was everything! Great book.

These two amazing books just took me through a journey of terror, anguish, and courage. There are no other words to describe this scary and sad stories other than Mia Sheridan knows how to completely shatter my heart and then put it back together piece by piece. Both of these books kept me up all night until I finished them entirely. I first came across these books earlier in the year but they deserve all the attention and recognition even more.

I first came across Where The Blame Lies in Audible.com. Josie’s story just captured my immediate attention and it was worth it. Hearing the narration with the pain and suffering Josie went through was just devastating. But also her strong will to live and escape was just mesmerizing to hear how the character fought for her freedom and never gave up. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but I just have to say that I was completely shocked by some of the events and its not at all what you think at first. This book kept me guessing and it was a marvelous novel.

Where The Truth Lives is a follow up to Where The Blames Lies. Josie and Zach do make appearances but are no longer the main characters in this story. This novel is about Detective Reed Davies and Dr. Elizabeth Nolan trying to find another murderer. Other characters from the first book also make appearances and at the end of the book it leaves you wondering what the heck you are thinking or feeling. This book made me change my thoughts and opinion towards someone to a certain degree that left me thinking that maybe I’m a little crazy to feel sorry for a serial killer. But I can’t tell you all the secrets, you will have to read these incredible books yourself. You won’t be disappointed, trust me!

I loved these books so much in Audible that I had to purchase the paperbacks. I spoke so highly of them that I even recommended them to my Mother-In-Law (She’s an avid reader as well). She, like me, loved them and couldn’t believe how invested she got into the stories. We spoke about it for weeks and compare thoughts and feelings. You just have to feel amazing talking about such a good story. Mia Sheridan you never disappoint.

★4.5 STARS★

Where The Blame Lies both shattered and soothed me. It’s premise is born from a dark and traumatising event that changed the course of Josie Stratton’s life. As she attempts to rises from the ashes that was once her life, she is pulled back into the darkness in order to save others from the cruelty she once suffered.

At the head of the investigation is Detective Zach Copeland. Like myself he is moved by Josie’s strength and determination. Although stronger now, he is there as a shoulder and to carry her when she buckles from the memories that threaten to overwhelm her of late.

Mia Sheridan can always be relied upon to bring such heightened emotion to her stories. She has the ability to tap into the core of human nature and bring forth it’s beauty no matter how dire the circumstance.

Although a suspenseful and vivid story, it was delicately balanced by the intimacies between Josie and Zach, as well as Josie’s own personal triumph. I adore all Mia’s Characters but long with Archer, Josie stands above the rest.

Oh wow wow! I loved this book so much! It was one I didn’t want to put down! I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. And the twist at the end was

I really liked this book

This book was so heartbreaking but also about one woman's strength and unbelievable perseverance and surviving against all odds. I'm not a huge fan of 3rd person books but this story was so good that I didn't care. And I can tell you the bad guy in this story I did not see coming and most importantly the why. But on top of everything going on there is beautiful love story woven in. I also got the narration with this book and Teddy Hamilton and Callie Dalton do amazing job!

Once again, Mia Sheridan has blown my mind and slammed all the theories I had throughout the book. Wow.

That beginning totally freaked me out and I wasn’t sure what to expect next but I just trusted Mia and kept reading because I was sure I was gonna love it. And love it I did!

It’s just soooo well written! No amount of crime tv shows binges would have made me get to the actual plot of this book! All the mystery was so well done! I had so many theories and got them ALL wrong! Unbelievable! Amazing!

Just two tiny tiny things that bothered me: Why would you call the evil cousin Archie??? All I kept thinking about was my baby Archer Hale!

Wow! What a great book, I couldn’t put it down, full of heartaches, hopes, romance and twist and turns. It was much better then I expected, so glad I picked it up!

Conflicted

This book left me feeling very conflicted. I always appreciate a realistic ending but the joy I get out of reading is the satisfaction of wrongs being righted. This book didn’t exactly do that. At times it felt like the female lead blamed herself for the things done to her. Even in the final chapter it felt as though she shouldered some of the blame which didn’t sit right with me. Overall it was an interesting read and I would recommend it.

This was a really good thriller and provided a few unexpected surprises! Really well written, and one I highly recommend.

It took me way longer to read that I expected. Nothing wrong with the book, I just had to put it down for a while so I could read happy thoughts given the current state of society.

Looking forward to reading the follow up to this one, and see what connections there are between the two books.

So good
